Marischal College Aberdeen: Employee Day Lockers by LockTec

Where there are large numbers of staff in an office or building, it is difficult for the employer to provide a neat, secure storage solution for staff’s personal items, but which offers enough lockers. LockTec have overcome this problem with their new electronic staff lockers design.

In early 2011, LockTec installed over 1000 electronic employee day lockers at Aberdeen City Council’s magnificent new premises in the renovated Marischal College building in central Aberdeen, Scotland.

Each member of staff has a Council smart card to access specific areas of the offices. The employee shows the same authorised smart card to the locker module reader, and is allocated a random locker. The employee can use this locker at any time during the day, and empties it at the end of the day.

The integrated smart card function streamlines security within the building.

The number of lockers in a module is flexible, and the integrated reader means no space is wasted on separate user interfaces. Locker sizes can be made to suit, as we design and manufacture everything, including the software.

LockTec’s staff lockers offer a secure, efficient, but attractive, storage service for today’s busy office environment.
