Having supplied two LOCKSAFE IV locker systems with "LOCKSAFE fridge" chilled lockers to Sihl Shopping Centre, Switzerland, in February 2007, now the Westside Shopping Centre in Berne has decided to purchase chilled LOCKSAFE lockers.
Westside was designed by star architect Daniel Libeskind (e.g. Jewish Museum Berlin) and houses amongst others an adventure bath, 11 cinema halls, hotel and shopping centre.
Both Sihl City and Westside Berne are offering their customers a special service with "LOCKSAFE fridge": whilst visitors to the Centres continue to shop, or drink an espresso, or go to the cinema or swimming pool, any chilled items or foodstuffs they have bought can be stored safely at a temperature of approximately +5° C.
This LOCKSAFE product again underlines LOCKTEC's position as a market leader in innovative, intelligent locker solutions. The added "LOCKSAFE fridge" function provides a very useful service for both Operator and Customer, and is therefore not just a concept, but is in use in a practical, long term application.
