In August 2000, LockTec delivered 19 parcel locker systems as a pilot system to the United States of America.
The systems will be installed at metro and railway stations, bus terminals and other public places.
Customers can order goods via internet and have them delivered directly to one of the parcel locker stations. The customer gets a text message sent to his mobile phone informing him that the goods he ordered were delivered to one of the lockers. There he can pay for and pick-up his delivery
