Locksafe IV

Locksafe IV is a state-of-the-art electronic locker system that has been successful all around the world for many years. The latest, 4th generation is the best and most advanced way to deposit all kinds of luggage. This short demonstration will show you how simple and still secure you can store your luggage in one of our Locksafe lockers.

Because of its solid construction Locksafe IV is mainly used in public areas that may be at risk from vandalism. With regard to the available locker sizes and variable rental and hiring fee structures, the system is extremely flexible and thus there are no limits to the possible applications.

You will find Locksafe IV world-wide at stations, museums, airports, shopping centres, amusement parks and even on ferries like the "Oscar Wilde".

With Locksafe IV we do not only set a high value on mechanical security but especially on security against tampering.

Locksafe IV is completely different to conventional lockers: it does not need keys for opening the lockers. Keys used for mechanical lockers can be copied by fraudsters. Later on the lockers rented by the customers will be robbed.

On conventional luggage lockers lost keys are the order of the day. Then the locker's lock has to be changed to prevent misuse of the "lost" key which results in high costs and trouble with the customer. These problems do not exist with Locksafe IV. 

Instead of a key, Locksafe IV issues a non-copyable, electronic transponder chip to your customer or - depending on the version ordered - barcode ticket. If this electronic "key" is lost, there is no need to change the lock. Should the lost chip or the barcode ticket turn up at a later stage again, the locker won't open as the chip, or ticket, is no longer vaild.

Unlike conventional locker systems, the hire fee is not collected at the locker door. Locksafe IV is a centrally controlled system. All revenues are collected at a central paypoint in the middle of the system.

The advantages are clear:

All earnings are directly stored at a central paypoint. Thus you only have to empty one cash-box, furthermore at any time you as operator can control all processes and the actual revenue figure. All data is stored at the paypoint and can also be monitored remotely.

Locksafe IV is a flexible system:

A station has different requirements of lockers from a shopping centre where the customers will use a locker several times a day in order to deposit several shopping bags. These purchases will be picked up in the evening at the latest. In shopping centres, service to the customer is one of the main aspects - thus the system could be operated as a deposit return solution, too.

Rental fees and hiring times can be easily programmed at the system or via your PC.

One of the main advantages of our electronic locker system is our ability to adapt our software to your special requirements.

And in case the system you require needs even more security, we can integrate video surveillance that also records all events visually. Of course we continue to make improvements and to implement further options. Thus, locker systems will soon be available with biometric capability.

Technical details:

Our Locksafe IV lockers are available in different sizes. Small lockers for laptops or shopping bags, jumbo lockers for overseas luggage. The paypoint can control different locker sizes and up to 8 locker columns can be connected to one paypoint.

The lockers are made from 1,5 mm powder-coated sheet steel. The doors are double-walled and are locked with two bolt locks. Bases are made of stainless sheet steel.

The paypoint is alarm controlled and can be operated with coins, banknotes, credit and debit cards.

Accessories

LOCKSAFE lockers can be additionally equipped with coat hooks or a power supply inside to recharge electronic devices like e.g. laptops, mobile phones, iPods, etc.

LOCKSAFE fridge

We have recently added "LOCKSAFE fridge" to our LOCKSAFE product range: with this option, standard LOCKSAFE lockers are equipped with coolling elements which give the User - particularly in shopping centres - the option of storing chilled purchases whilst they continue shopping, or go for a coffee, or to the cinema.

As "LOCKSAFE fridge" lockers have the same dimensions as standard lockers, the two locker types can easily be combined.

The chilled temperature range of "LOCKSAFE fridge" is approximately +5° C - +7° C. The lockers come pre-fitted with the necessary parts, or they can be connected into the Operator's existing coolling system if preferred.
